We are delighted to report that our first annual fundraiser “An Elegant Evening” held on February 7 was a HUGE success! Thanks to everyone for your contributions, we couldn’t have done it without YOU!! – Rebecca Solomon & Robin Dobbs, Event Organizers
Eight months ago this event was an idea, which became a reality due to the collaboration, creativity and generosity of our Committee members. An Elegant Evening, reminiscent of the times of Gatsby, was attended by 64 Ladies and Gentlemen dressed in Roaring 20’s attire. The night was full of music, best table and hat contests, unique raffle baskets, and long lasting laughter and fun! The stunning table displays decorated by our Hostesses totally transformed the clubhouse. Our “Kitchen Krew” outdid themselves with a cocktail bar, passed appetizers, hors d’oeuvre stations, a sit down dinner with wine service and desserts. During the event we honored two incredible Lifetime Members – thank you Susie Flynn (left photo below) and Edna Salg (posthumously) for all you have done to help to sustain the Fort Lauderdale Woman’s Club!
